Experience Healing and Support With Therapy in Boulder, CO

My mission

My mission is to help adults unlock their full potential and create the life of their dreams.

As an adult therapist, I work with individuals who struggle with anxiety and grief and want to break free from limiting beliefs that prevent them from thriving professionally, building meaningful relationships and living a fulfilling life.

I have over 10 years of experience and have helped thousands of clients like you through individual and group therapy for anxiety and grief.

Consciousness is a coherent whole, which is never static or complete, but which is in an unending process of movement and unfoldment.

My method

I help my clients in the Boulder, CO area transform their lives by helping them discover their strength to heal and resolve painful feelings that prevent them from living a vibrant life.

My work is rooted in psychodrama, sociometry, and group psychotherapy.

This method was invented in the 1930s by J. L. Moreno, MD, a Viennese psychiatrist who immigrated to New York in 1925.

In this approach, change occurs at a deep level in a way that facilitates a balance between the mind, body and spirit.

Clients develop new, creative solutions for old and new problems.

Together, we will make the unconscious conscious so that you can heal the parts of yourself that may be working against you now.

Through this work, the brain is re-patterned to produce lasting behavioral changes.

Supporting Adults in Boulder, CO Through Individual and Group Therapy

I specialize in helping people heal from anxiety, grief and relationship issues to build more satisfying lives.

Clients who come to me are dissatisfied with the results they are getting with traditional talk therapy, who want to go deeper and get to the root cause so they can heal.

I help adults

I wish for all my clients courage to go after the deep, underlying issues that keep them stuck so they can realize their dreams.

Experience the Supportive Process of Working Together

During an initial individual session, we build safety and trust, define our goals and identify resources, relationships, aspects of ourselves that may provide support outside of sessions.

Our sessions begin with establishing safety and setting a goal.

We explore issues and concerns in action.

During the process, you will discover your inner truth, express your emotions freely, and gain clarity regarding interactions with others and within yourself.

During the first few sessions, you will become more conscious of your inner feelings.

Most clients who commit to a course of six months, experience deep structural changes.

Many clients make an investment in their own healing journey and commit to therapy for one to three years to sustain the positive changes.

It is not uncommon for clients to move to maintenance after years of work, in order to work through new life circumstances they need help with.

Each client's journey is unique.

I was a client myself and made it my life's work to continue my own ongoing therapy and supervision so I can help my clients grow and become more deeply aware.

Discover the Types of Therapy Services I Offer in Boulder

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy allows the therapist and client to develop a consistent and trusting relationship that is the foundation for lasting change.

There are three parts to each session:  warm-up, action, and closure.

The warm-up phase of the session focuses on discussing any current emotional issues that are of significance for my clients.

In the action phase of the session, clients are offered techniques to explore relational conflict, tension within themselves, or opportunities to develop new parts of themselves.

The goal of this phase is to reduce fear and increase the client's access to new and adequate solutions.

The closure phase of the session is when the client cools off from the work and discusses what they accomplished during the session.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is where a small number of individuals meet with a trained professional therapist to help themselves and one another.

The group approach is best at helping individuals heal from anxiety and grief and supports individuals in improving relationships and reducing physical symptoms of stress and burnout.

People who choose group therapy are growers, people with a desire and commitment to evolve and change. They understand that there is strength in numbers and this approach accelerates the healing journey.

Group therapy is effective at reducing isolation, anxiety, depression and grief.

Participants improve their relationship skills, receive support and feel known in a safe, supportive environment.

During the sessions, you learn about yourself and how you relate to others and make adjustments to improve relational skills.

Typically, participants who commit to 3 months of group will receive great benefit although, often group members feel so supported by the process they continue for much longer.

The great art of life is sensation, to feel that we exist, even in pain.
